It probably comes as no surprise that we use Ember heavily in our workflow, and over the last few months we’ve been itching (like many of you) to see some additional file formats supported in Ember for Mac.
So, to make Ember even more indispensable we’ve just released a huge new update with support for many of your most frequently-requested file formats: PDF, Adobe Illustrator, SVG, QuickTime Video. We’ve also added two new “types” of media in the Ember library: Bookmarks, and Text.
With Ember’s updated Browser Extension, you can snap a page or open it in the Ember browser as before, or bookmark it. Bookmarks are great if you’re saving something to your Ember library in order to visit it later but don’t need to capture the entire page. Notes allow you to write within Ember, and organise both your text and image files alongside each other. We’ve been busy using this feature to store screenshots and notes of our forthcoming RapidWeaver 6 Public Beta - but we’re sure you’ll have many, many more great uses for it.
